The 2026 Ascent Lineup
8-passenger means a second-row bench; 7-passenger means captain's chairs. Decide that, and the rest gets easy.
The full turbo, full towing, full safety suite with the second-row bench โ maximum kid capacity per dollar. Trade-off: StarTex upholstery, not leather.
Same price, captain's chairs instead of the bench โ easier third-row access and no middle-seat fights. Trade-off: one fewer seat when the carpool grows.
Leather, power gate, heated second row โ the comfort tier with the bench. Trade-off: $7k over Premium buys comfort, not capability.
The Limited package with captain's chairs โ the most popular configuration in the lineup for a reason.
The Limited 7-passenger with bronze wheels and dark trim. Trade-off: purely cosmetic โ pick it because you like the look, not for anything underneath.
Every comfort and tech feature: premium audio, ventilated seats, the works. The $1,110 step from Limited is small enough that many families just take it.
The Touring in blacked-out trim with unique interior. The ceiling of the lineup. Trade-off: $3k over Touring for appearance โ we'll say that plainly.
All prices are starting MSRP โ your out-the-door number comes in writing.
Honest Guidance
Every Ascent has the same turbo, the same AWD, and the same towing. You're choosing seats and comfort โ nothing else.
Kids multiplying, car seats everywhere, grandparents visiting. Premium 8-passenger โ the bench holds three car seats across, and the money you save funds a lot of youth-league fees.
Long hauls, trailer sometimes, comfort matters. Limited or Touring 7-passenger โ captain's chairs make hour six civil, and the 5,000-lb rating covers most trailers and small boats without breaking a sweat.
Fair question โ ask it before spending $40k+. If the third row is twice a year, a new Outback XT costs thousands less and drives better. We'll help you answer it honestly, whichever way it lands.
We run the new-vs-used math both ways too โ clean used Ascents come off lease constantly, and for some families that's the smarter buy.
Name, number, trim โ or just "help me pick." We handle the rest.
