The Honest Ladder
Two honest exits. The gas Limited saves $2,000 and keeps every comfort feature — take it if your commute is short and the hybrid would never pay itself back. Or the Sport Hybrid saves $1,000 and keeps the drivetrain — take it if the fuel math matters more to you than leather. Only pay for both halves if you actually want both halves.
On pavement, there isn't one — this is the ceiling. The next name on the ladder, Wilderness, is actually $1,200 less and it's not a step up, it's a fork in the road: it trades your comfort ceiling for clearance, all-terrain tires, and towing. If your weekends leave the asphalt, read that page. If they don't, you're already holding the top card.
No pressure either way — we make the same honest recommendation whether you spend $26,995 or $34,995.
Straight Answers
The questions buyers ask right before they decide on this trim.
It's the everything trim, and it's priced like one. At $34,995 starting MSRP it's about $8,000 over the Base — and that money buys comfort and fuel economy, not capability. If you want the comfort ceiling and the hybrid fuel math in one car and you drive enough miles to use the second half, it's the top of the pavement lineup. Otherwise there are two cheaper exits worth taking.
$2,000 buys the drivetrain and the display. Limited Hybrid at $34,995 starting MSRP adds the hybrid drivetrain — up to 36 mpg city — and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Every Limited comfort feature stays: leather, blind-spot detection, DriverFocus, heated wheel, heated seats, the 11.6-inch screen. On a short commute, the gas Limited at $32,995 may be the smarter buy.
On pavement, yes — it's the ceiling and there's no rung above it. The Wilderness is the next name on the ladder but it's actually $1,200 less at $33,795 starting MSRP, and it isn't a step up so much as a fork in the road: it trades the comfort ceiling for 9.3 inches of clearance, all-terrain tires and 3,500-lb towing. If your weekends stay on asphalt, you're already holding the top card.
Only if you want the leather, because the drivetrain is identical. Sport Hybrid at $33,995 starting MSRP has the same up-to-36-mpg-city hybrid system; the $1,000 to Limited Hybrid buys leather, blind-spot detection, DriverFocus, the heated wheel and the 12.3-inch cluster. Only pay for both halves — comfort and fuel economy — if you actually want both halves.
