The Honest Ladder
Sport saves you $2,370 and keeps the same engine, the same screen, and the heated seats — you'd give up leather, blind-spot detection, DriverFocus, and the heated wheel. If those read like nice-to-haves rather than must-haves, step down and keep the money. Blind-spot detection is the one we'd genuinely miss in SoCal traffic.
Limited Hybrid is $2,000 more and keeps every comfort feature while swapping in the 36-mpg-city hybrid drivetrain and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. If you commute real miles, it's the rare step-up that pays some of itself back at the pump. If your driving is short and local, the gas Limited you're looking at is the honest ceiling — keep the $2,000.
No pressure either way — we make the same honest recommendation whether you spend $26,995 or $34,995.
Straight Answers
The questions buyers ask right before they decide on this trim.
It's the comfort ceiling of the gas lineup, and it's honest about being exactly that. At $32,995 starting MSRP you get leather seating, blind-spot detection, DriverFocus and a heated steering wheel. What you're not getting is capability — the clearance and drivetrain match the cheaper gas trims, and it runs the same 180-hp boxer as the Base.
Limited Hybrid is $2,000 more at $34,995 starting MSRP and keeps every comfort feature while swapping in the 36-mpg-city hybrid drivetrain and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. If you commute real miles it's the rare step up that pays some of itself back at the pump. If your driving is short and local, the gas Limited at $32,995 is the honest ceiling — keep the $2,000.
Yes, and it's the trim where it arrives. Limited at $32,995 starting MSRP adds blind-spot detection, DriverFocus distraction mitigation, leather seating and a heated steering wheel over the Sport. Of everything on that list, blind-spot detection is the one we'd genuinely miss in Southern California freeway traffic — it's the strongest argument for this rung.
No. Limited is the comfort ceiling, not the capability ceiling. Ground clearance, symmetrical AWD, X-MODE and the 180-hp boxer engine are identical to the $27,995 Premium. You're paying for trim, not capability. If leather and the extra tech don't move you, the lineup's value peak is two rungs down — and for genuine off-pavement capability the answer is Wilderness, not Limited.
